The lights are inspired by René Magritte, a Belgian surrealist artist, well known for creating a number of witty and thought-provoking images such as the work »Ceci n'est pas une pipe«. To adapt the colour of the store the steel lights were burned with a linseed oil varnish to create it's dark appearance. Eleven lights were placed above the cabinets to give an atmospheric light to the products but also to the whole environment. To complete the overall mood we have made three different sized organic glass works in amber that blend in with the surroundings.

The design of the new Antwerp shop is unique and tailored to the location by Aesop, as it does for each of its own shops.
